शाळा किंवा महाविद्यालयाकडून परीक्षेचे प्रवेशपत्र (Hall Ticket) मिळाल्यानंतर ते अत्यंत काळजीपूर्वक तपासणे आवश्यक आहे. प्रवेशपत्रावरील परीक्षा केंद्राचा क्रमांक, बैठक क्रमांक तसेच विषयांची माहिती नीट पाहावी.

प्रवेशपत्रावर नमूद केलेला विषय व उत्तरलेखनाची भाषा आपण निवडलेलीच आहे का, याची खात्री करून घ्यावी.

राज्य मंडळाने प्रकाशित किंवा प्रसिद्ध केलेल्या अधिकृत वेळापत्रकावरच विश्वास ठेवावा.
परीक्षेच्या आदल्या दिवशी सर्व आवश्यक साहित्य तयार ठेवावे. हॉल तिकीट, पेन, पेन्सिल,स्केल, खोडरबर व इतर साहित्य तपासून घ्यावे. शक्यतो अतिरिक्त पेन जवळ ठेवा

उत्तरपत्रिकेवर आपला बैढक क्रमांक (Seat No.) अचूकपणे नमूद करावा.
उत्तरपत्रिकेवर व उपस्थीती पत्रकावर विदयार्थ्यांने आपली स्वाक्षरी करावी. तसेच व उत्तरपत्रीकेवर पर्यवेक्षकांची स्वाक्षरी घ्यावी.
बोर्डाचा बारकोड नीट चिकटवावा किंवा पर्यवेक्षकांकडून तो चिकटवून घ्यावा.
प्रश्नपत्रिका पूर्ण वाचल्यानंतरच उत्तरे लिहायला सुरुवात करावी.
प्रश्न क्रमांक स्पष्ट व योग्य पद्धतीने लिहावेत.
उत्तरे स्वच्छ व वाचण्याजोग्या अक्षरात लिहावीत.
परीक्षेतील वेळेचे योग्य नियोजन करावे.
उत्तरांमधील महत्त्वाच्या मुद्द्यांना अधोरेखित करावे.

शेवटी संपूर्ण उत्तरपत्रिका पुन्हा तपासावी व कोणताही प्रश्न राहिलेला नाही याची खात्री करावी.
चुकून राहिलेले प्रश्न वेळ मिळाल्यास पूर्ण करावेत.
योग्य पर्याय निवडताना विशेष काळजी घ्यावी. प्रश्नांतील सूक्ष्म सूचनांकडे लक्ष द्यावे.
अतिरिक्त (पुरवणी) उत्तरपत्रिका मुख्य उत्तरपत्रिकेला वेळेत व नीट जोडून द्यावी. त्यावर बैढक क्रमांक Seat No. लिहायला विसरू नये. पर्यवेक्षकांची स्वाक्षरी घ्यावी, पुरवणीची नोंद मुख्य उत्तरपत्रिकेर योग्य ठिकाणी करावी

Trust only the timetable published by the State Board.
Keep all required materials ready a day before the examination. Check your hall ticket, pens, pencil, eraser, and other essentials. Preferably carry an extra pen.
Carry your Hall Ticket and identity proof with you.
Reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before time; avoid rushing.
Get sufficient sleep (minimum 6–7 hours); keep your mind and body calm and fresh.
